INTRAMURAL UPDATE - 8/25/08

Our Fall 2008 intramural soccer season is right around the corner.  The season is scheduled to begin on Saturday, September 6th, which is the weekend after Labor Day.

Our program will continue with the free training sessions with YSA and our small-sided games so that our younger players can have a great time while learning the soccer basics.

All of our intramural sessions are held behind Glen Landing School.  Please click below for schedules and a field layout.

Click "HERE" to go to our Intramural Page for schedules and more information.

Our program features small-sided games and free professional, licensed instruction and training for ALL of our intramural players.  We thank the instructors from YSA, all of our volunteer coaches, parents and players for their participation in our state-of-the-art program.  We look forward to a great season.

CLUB NEWS & CURRENT EVENTS

Our second health and fitness event was held on March 20, 2007 and we would like to thank Coach Cary Huggard of  Velocity Sports Performance in Cherry Hill as well as our partner, The Rothman Institute Orthopaedics, for a great seminar.  Please feel free to contact Coach Huggard at Velocity for more information or to set up a visit at Velocity for your team.

The first T.B.A.A. health and fitness event was held on January 26, 2006, and we would like to thank Amy Boltz, a registered dietician from our tournament sponsor, The Rothman Institute Orthopaedics for providing a very informative presentation.  The theme of the presentation was Sports Nutrition, Hydration and Supplements.  Scroll down to view the presentation in its entirety.  We are currently planning the next event which is tentatively set to involve the issue of injury prevention.

We are trying to collect a T.B.A.A. Tournament patch from each of our 22 annual soccer tournaments.  If you can help, especially with the early tournaments, please drop us an email.
